We were very sad to hear that the Peregrine we had rescued had been put to sleep. For those interested he was found at Clows Top, Worcestershire. He was in a field being mobbed by Lapwings, I assume he had hit overhead power lines running through the field.
Yes it was very sad but there was absolutely nothing that could be done for his wing. If we could have done something, we would, but he was never going to fly again so it was the kindest option. Apologies for the incorrect location - I had been told Gt Witley. The flying into power lines option would fit in with the injuries sustained.
